I was thrilled to give Colorado Public Radio a tour of the haunted brothel I do publicity for, the Black Monarch Hotel. I took them through all of our serial killer themed rooms, pointed out all the little architectural flourishes that give the Victorian gothic hotel its opium den vibes, and I even took them into the creepy basement that was supposedly a makeshift morgue.
Confession: Josiah and I turned off the hallway light in the entryway and put candles instead so that the reporter Xandra’s entrance would be extra creeeepy!
There is a written article, but I highly recommend listening to the 8-minute segment to get all the creaky sound effects!
